Internet Desk: Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has stated that 5G technology will bring an additional 450 billion dollars to the Indian economy by 2040. He made these comments while speaking at the Global Standards Symposium organized at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. It is one of the biggest telecom events in the world.

It is estimated that 450 billion will be generated by 5G by 2040 in India alone. It's not just about fast internet or low latency, it's about the fieldwork required for smart cities. This is important for state-of-the-art infrastructure and 'autonomous' innovations. 5G has already been made available in 36 states and Union Territories of the country. In just 22 months, 98 percent of the districts and 80 percent of the population have come under its purview. This is the symbol of change in India. Advanced opportunities in healthcare, education and agriculture will become available. With international cooperation, the full potential of 5G, artificial intelligence and IoT can be harnessed," said Scindia.

The Union Minister opined that there is a need for strong regulations in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, which are currently expanding. Ethical aspects and regulatory framework are needed to protect personal privacy in this scheme. These should be comprehensive keeping in mind the 6G to be launched in the future. International standards in the matter of 5G.
